Watercolor Society of North Carolina

The Watercolor Society or North Carolina, Inc. (WSNC) is a non-profit art organization;

its purpose is to promote watercolor throughout the state and to elevate the standards of excellence in this medium.

Annual Meeting and Exhibition Opening Reception

October 11, 2009, Calabash NC

We are pleased to have as our distinguished guest artist and juror Steve Rogers from Ormond Beach, FL. Steve will be our instructor for a 4-day workshop Oct. 12^th – 15^th located at Sunset River Studios in Calabash. We expect this workshop to fill quickly so get your reservations in early.

Sunset River Marketplace is our host for the exhibition and opening reception; it is a gallery of fine art and unique creations of local artists. The Sea Trail Golf and Conference Center is the central location for hotel accommodations, seminar and meeting rooms, Saturday night social and dinner, as well as the annual meeting and luncheon.

Posters from the WSNC 2008 exhibit are available for $20 unsigned, or $25 signed by the artist. Contact any Board member to get a poster.

Photo Editing and Resizing? Two free utilities worth exploring:

Picasa3 at picasa.google.com: use the ‘export’ utility to specify 300 dpi to create a copy of your image. Picasa is one of the leading online photo systems for organizing and touching up photos.

Also highly recommended is FastStone Photo Resizer: it is a photo resizer that is free at www.FastStone.org.
